Your data and your rights

The core points, plus how to complain.

Data controller

The controller for the data on this site is a private individual who runs it on a non-commercial basis. You can get in touch through the site's contact form.

Purposes and lawful basis

Your data is used only to run the site and reply to your messages. The basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, and consent where needed under Article 6(1)(a). We never sell or rent your data.

Cookie notice

The site uses only essential cookies. Advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), withdrawable at any time. Your browser settings also let you refuse cookies.

Raising a concern

If something about your data worries you, please raise it first through the site's contact form. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the United Kingdom supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Your rights

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 let you access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. These rights can be used through the contact form on this site.

Currency of this policy

We update this policy if the law or the service changes. The version published here applies.

Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to answer you: your name, an email and, if you wish, a phone number, your message and technical data such as your IP address. Sensitive data is not requested.

Deletion

We keep data only while needed and then delete it, save where a legal duty applies. Server logs are held briefly.
